ALL TESTING SERVICES MEET THE BUREAU OF CANNABIS CONTROL REQUIREMENTS
We qualify and quantify 17 cannabinoids to help consumers understand the potential effects that product may have, manufacturers can more accurately dose their products, and cultivators can optimize their harvests. We perform this analysis using HPLC-DAD with validated methods. 2 River Lab’s utilizes the latest LC-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS technology for the qualification and quantification of chemical residues within cannabis samples. We offer a California compliance panel of the some of the most common and concerning chemicals. In total we test for a total of 66 pesticides, insecticides and fungicides.
Microbiological Screening uses analyte specific molecular probes to determine the presence of 6 different species of bacteria and fungus. This analysis is done on the latest QPCR technology.
2 River Labs analyzes mycotoxins on an LC-MSMS to ensure accuracy and specificity. Mycotoxins are the by-product of select species of Aspergillus and have proven to be harmful to humans.
Terpenes contribute to the taste and aroma, as well as adding an “entourage effect” towards the physiological response that cannabinoids produce within the human body. Terpene profiles are determined using HS-GC-FID (Gas Chromatography with Flame Ionization Detection and Headspace Analysis). These validated methods analyze the concentrations of 21 different terpenes within a cannabis product.
2 River Labs utilizes HS-GC-MS-FID for residual solvent analysis. This is a dual detection method (Flame Ionization and Mass Spectrometry) that provides additional specificity and dual confirmation of analyte presence to yield the utmost confidence of results.
2 River Labs utilizes ICP-MS for Heavy Metals analysis.Our ICP-MS is capable as detecting metals at sub-ppb trace levels. Combined with the instruments specificity, this instrument and methodology yields accurate and reliable results.
2 River Labs measures water activity using a water activity meter. The water activity meter measures relative humidity, and accounts for ‘available water’ that works to promote the growth of bacteria, mold, and fungus.
Filth and Foreign material is a visual inspection required by the state. The purpose is to check for contamination of product from rodent hair, fecal matter, soil and cinders, etc.
