2 River Lab’s Advantage
Bringing Compliance to Cannabis Science
Inconsistent laboratory results have been an issue in the Cannabis industry since its inception. Whether you’re trying to determine the potency of your product or the amount of residual solvents in your concentrate, having test results that you can trust is extremely important to the success of your business.
We have identified the main causes behind the inconsistencies and built our entire laboratory on a framework that is required in the Pharmaceutical industry.
2 River Lab’s validated laboratory system is the only Cannabis testing system in California built to stand up to FDA inspections and audits.
Our system is the first and only truly compliant Cannabis testing laboratory meeting cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) requirements. We have a significant advantage when it comes to Cannabis testing and our customers are benefiting from our efforts.

The Key to an accurate Cannabis Laboratory
In order for a laboratory to provide consistent and accurate results, every aspect of the testing process requires an intensive validation initiative.
The ultimate goal of validation is to reduce uncertainty. By removing or minimizing the amount of uncertainty in every step, it will lead to a higher probability of accuracy. If there is uncertainty at any point throughout the testing process, a lab will not have confidence that they will produce accurate data.
Validation is a significant part of the 2 River Lab’s framework and is a massive undertaking. Before we accepted our first sample, we spent the first 9 months of operation executing a validation initiative second to none. Every process – every piece of equipment – every software package – every test has been validated to ensure data integrity. We believe that Validation is the key to accuracy in Cannabis testing.
Below are all the steps that we have taken to ensure the most accurate, consistent, and reliable results in the industry.
Facility Validation is the foundation to generating accurate, reliable data. Several factors are involved when validating the facility and/or laboratory.
Once the facility validation requirements have been met, processes within the facility can be validated.
Validated, or “qualified”, equipment forms another layer of confidence of generating accurate and reproducible results.
Use of a validated method instills confidence that the method will generate data of acceptable quality, reliability, and consistency.
System suitability establishes that the instrument used for testing is operating according to a given set of criteria at the time of use.
Quality Control tests are executed on equipment where system suitability has been established at the time of use, using validated methods, on qualified equipment, in a validated facility, using validated processes.
